How to find if rear sliding window is fixed?

I bought a 2014 LTZ online and was wondering how to go about tracking down service records, specifically for the rear window issues. I have used sliding rear windows in all the trucks that I have owned and wanted to continue this but I need to make sure the proper hardware was installed.

 

Could I just call the previous dealership and supply the VIN to see what service records they have? Or would my local dealership have that information in a cross database of some sort? it was a 1 owner with pretty meticulous service from the CarFax report it seems.

They should be able to tell by vin number. tsbs and recalls get tracked.
