K2/GA/ATL garage cleaning sale

Hey Yall,

So I'm gonna be cleaning out my garage here.

I've got a bunch of parts for a k2 to sell. I'll get some pics when I make my way up to the shop if you're interested.

* Stock K2 mesh grill, chrome/black. $75 (kinda big to ship but I've got a box. If you REALLY want it we can talk about that.)

*Stock open beam headlights, they're dirty with bugs n whatnot on em, I upgraded to the eagle eyes and don't need these anymore. Have brand new bulbs in them. $200 (I got boxes to ship em too but again, lets talk if you really want them.)

*smooth lower bumper valence. 1 piece like you see on an LT truck. Uhh.. $20? Shipping is a pita for it cos its an awkward shape. Willing to throw it in for something else, especially if you're local pickup.

*headlight switch with foglight button. name your price.

*Forward Lamp wire harness. I cut the foglight harness off it. IT's complete otherwise. name your price

*rearview mirror with onstar, manual dim. name your price

*stock non-console black dash parts.. cig lighter and ashtray. name your price

I uh.. kind of can't haul really large items anymore. (Yeeaa.. my truck started having severe transmission problems and gas prices were eating me alive so he's gone :( ) so shipping may be a challenge for the grill. Rest should be fine.

Oh! almost forgot.. some non-car parts.

"Black Pearl" lego pirate ship, nib, box is a little worn from moving with me 3 times, but.. $200.

Big box of legos, mostly 80s/90s stuff. some space stuff, some model crew, $300.

57 belair 4 door sedan $20,000  (no really tho if you're interested in that.. we might can chat about it. There's a bit of a backstory and technicalities, but I need money and can't have a project car holding me back.)

Sorry to hear about the troubles! I know you put a lot of effort into your truck. If you don't mind me asking, what happened with the tranny?

When you are referring to the lower bumper valence are you talking about that black skirt that runs around the lower part of the bumper? Or are you talking about the piece that fits right up under the tow hooks? If its the skirt I might be interested in taking it off your hands - I'm local to the Rome area.

the part thats between the tow hooks. Filler panel, I think GM calls it?

Yea I was going up a hill from a 4 way stop one day and it slipped out of gear for 3 seconds.RPMs shot up, then it slammed back into gear.

From then on I had trouble with fuel economy and performance. I couldn't keep up with even an old beater civic from the mid 90s at a redlight. I'd fall way behind and have to downshift before I even reached 30mph to keep up.

It was almost like it was starting out in 2nd or 3rd.

I didn't take it to the dealer cos it wasn't doing it all the time, but the 15mpg it started getting was killing me.

I hated to see it go. I love the way it looked and I love these k2 trucks. But come on. 40k miles and its doing this?

Next owner can fix it..I'm sure powertrain is under warranty for a long time.

Sorry man that does suck! Hope whatever you're in now is treating you better. I was hoping you were referring to the air skirting. I bent mine the first week I had the truck - figured for 20.00 it was worth fixing.

Sad to say I actually wound up in a Honda.

I've owned one other import in my life and it was a Subaru and it treated me real well. I tried to buy a subaru forrester XT but the salesman was rude and was like "This is the last one, you pay sticker or you don't get it" so I walked. then he was begging me to stay.

Went to the honda dealer the next day and said I wanted an accord coupe. I've tested em before, they're spirety little things but they used to be in the mid 30s. This one was loaded and "on sale" in the high 20s, so I tested it and was pleasently surprised.

I normally dont like FWD cars, and torque steer is a bit of an issue, but I had to drive 170 miles today for work and it got 32mpg with mixed driving. I filled it up for $28. I aint complaining there!

I might change my tune the next time I need to do any yard work tho, or tow anything, or go to a big box store.. or buy any lumbar or .. ship a truck grill. but.. I'm kinda chewing on the idea of trading my old belair for a 99-06 or somethin just to have a truck around the house.

That's all up in the air though. I might need that money for something else.

Just took some pics. Wil update with em in a sec. The're kinda crappy. not gonna lie. I didn't wanna dig the parts off the shelf. We're about to have a bad storm and I didn't wanna get soaked walking back from the shop.

Hey you know there is a Deuce and Half for sale on craiglist over in White for 5900. That would more than fit the bill for the occasional use truck. It'd be great for date nights with the wife, and when we get the next snowpocalypse you'd be able to laugh at the rest of us.

I understand about the mileage, running back and forth between Atlanta the last couple of weeks has been hell on gas.

I wonder if that's the guy that goes around the west GA mudpark pulling people out and giving rides?

I'd rather have a tractor to scrape the roads though I think. The county doesn't put people in my area up in a high priority when the roads snow over, and we have lots of shade trees.

I really have considered seeing if anyone want to trade the belair for a truck. I dont know if thats really a great idea.. but.. I'd be replacing something I dont use with something I do.. so.. seems like a win win to me?

I could even shoot for a 2500hd since its not my DD.

headlight switch

one of the headlights. The bulbs in them aren't the originals. When I bought the eagle eyes I swapped the bulbs cos the oems were sylvania. These are uh.. autolite? New unused. I tried not to touch the glass so they should be fine but.. I'm not rerplacing it if you get it and the bulb doesn't work. K? :P

the grill and both headlights. BOWTIE IS NOT INCLUDED! Neither is the inner grill trim with the rubber on it. That had to be swapped to the 2LZ grill I took off.
