Hey guys I've got a 07 (new body style) with 35s and a 6 inch lift with 3.73 gears... just baught it from someone so I havnt changed any hearing yet. Anyways when I'm cruising on the free way my trans temp is around 217 going over a steep grade I was getting like 225 ..... Anything I can do to bring this temp down? New trans cooler? And how do I know if my truck has a factory trans cooler? Thanks

How many miles on the truck? If the tranny is slipping even just a little or the TCC is not locked up, it could run hot. Maybe make sure your radiator fins are clean and do a full tranny service unless you know for a fact that is had been done recently before you bought the truck. If that doesn't do it, look into an auxiliary trans cooler.

The trucks got 150k transmission doesn't seen to be slipping... It does shift hard into second when I get on it from a stop and shifts around 3-35k but besides that everything seems fine....

Hook a scanner to it to double check the reading. Do as suggested above... clean radiator, check operation of fans, add a auxillary cooler if necessary. You have a factory trans cooler already..... it's in the radiator. If you have an auxillary cooler it will be mounted in front of the condenser and two line attached
