Cam upgrade

Hello,

 

I was wondering what cam would be good for a 96,97,98 1500 with the 5.7L engine?  I don't want something for racing as I will be using the truck for towing and general around town.  However I would like a good gain in the top end and bottom end.  Eventually I would like to add a Whipplecharger so I'd like the cam to be able to work with the supercharger.  Any ideas?

Yes, get the Comp Cams Xtreme 4x4 Stage 1 cam.  I have the stage 2 and its more than I bargained for.  It has moved the power band a little higher up in the rpm range than I like and I have to get ECM tuning because of idle surging.  Also needed to do valve springs.  The stage 1 cam looks to be perfect for a stock ecm.  If I had to go back and do it again, I would have gotten the smaller one.
