Adapt Bose system on a standard LT truck

Hi !

 

So I got my 2008 crew cab LT silverado and love just about everything but the sucky sound system.

 

I am not looking for huge power or perfect quality. A little more bass and better overall quality and power. I have been in Bose eqquiped trucks from these years and liked the setup. I know there is better out there but again I listen to music like a 50 year old and not like a teenager.

 

Budget being really tight I found that :

Would it be pretty much plug and play?

Says its for a Nissan? And no, not even the GM Bose system will be plug and play. There are tons of differences. Hit up Crutchfield and see what fits your budget.

That is what I was thinking, you confirmed what I did not want to hear lol !

 

I looked up on Crutchfield but I didn't want to see spend that much.

 

For my mild wishes, what do you guys think about just putting 4 quality speakers in there and skip the amp and sub ?

 

Also does the factory radio stereo is good enough ?

I did that on my 2003 with a basic Kenwood and it worked nicely. The Kenwood eventually died and the stock deck worked ok too.

Recently upgraded from factory speakers to Kickers in the doors. Sounds a lot better than the crappy stock speakers that worked when they wanted to work.
