ProModMike Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Really? I was not aware that this was possible. I ordered mine this way, too. 2015 Denali w/6.2/8spd/3:42.
SMiller Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I ordered mine this way, too. 2015 Denali w/6.2/8spd/3:42. That isn't possible, only way to get the 6.2 and 3.42's is to get max tow package.
ProModMike Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Ummmmm. It IS possible, sir. I ordered my truck. I can post my window sticker and build sheet if that would help. The truck DEFINITELY has the 6.2 and it DEFINITELY has a 3:42 rear end. Since it has the G80, I actually spun both tires a complete rotation while watching the driveshaft spin 3-3/4 times = 3:73. I'm certain you won't find many if any on the lot configured this way, which is why I ordered, and you can't technically get the "max tow" package in the Denali, but you can get all the gear to make it the equivalent. Hope that helps.
ProModMike Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I'll be happy to, gents. Now, be patient though as I don't carry that with me in the truck when I go to work, so I'll have to wait until I can get home. Then maybe folks will lighten up on someone who's just trying to contribute. I like(d) to come here for the reading content, comedic value and to help if/when I can, but sometimes folks, IMHO, get a bit snippy. I didn't come here and post hoping to mislead anyone and I'm happy to provide documentation to support my claims though.
WendysOrBust Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Need to see your birth certificate too while you at it.
ProModMike Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 ^^^^I like this guy, lol. That's more like it.
IOMike Posted October 6, 2015 Author Posted October 6, 2015 RPO sticker tag would be more telling. But I believe you ;)
ProModMike Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 I'm happy to post it. This isn't the first time I've had this discussion, so I understand the hesitance to bite. I actually took the truck into the dealer about a month ago for a gouged rotor and the service guy didn't believe me either. I told him I bought the truck there and to look it up. His response: well, I'll be damned, didn't know they would do that. So, I get it, I don't blame folks for asking for verification, just maybe be a bit inquisitive vs accusatory. But I'm used to it. Especially after nearly a decade in the military and now a career as an engineer. Been called an a$$hole constantly for almost 12 years now, lol.
gtptyler Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 Looks like they revised the center console, appears to have less storage atlest in the interior 360 view

If you don't mind, please post the RPO tag in the glove box. It's not that we don't believe you but you may be the only person in this country with a 6.2L Denali and 3.42 gear. Option package restricted the ordering of a 6.2L Denali with the 3.42 gears (been discussed here a lot).

Are the new front bumpers, the monochromatic ones, still steel or are they a bumper cover? Long shot, but bumper cover would hold up a lot better for the painted ones.
argus Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Are the new front bumpers, the monochromatic ones, still steel or are they a bumper cover? Long shot, but bumper cover would hold up a lot better for the painted ones. Just checked out the 2016's yesterday at the Texas State Fair. While I didn't nudge the bumpers on the Denali and All Terrain to verify, they appeared to be painted steel at a glance. BTW, these new trucks look great in person. Exteriors show really well. Count me as a fan. Interiors look the same as 14/15 models to me, other than the phone charger built into the console cover.
