Hi guys,

I'll be posting the progress of this build here, so you can check it out, post questions or suggestions.

For starters, let's have a stocker pic with a side of dirt.

Plans:

  • CST 3.5 lift spindles, I don't know if I'll use the spacers included for the 5.5 of total lift they offer.
  • Method NV 17"x8.5", machined face, black lip.
  • Can't decide if Km2 or Ko2, but they're going in 35x12.50R17.
  • Baja Designs OnX6 10" behind the grill.
  • Kenwood VHF radio for chasing Baja.
  • Drop in bedliner.
  • Tint, maybe 20%.
  • Shocks, Bilsteins maybe, dunno.

Status:

  • Spindles - ordered.
  • Wheels - ordered.
  • Tires - will be purchased as soon as the wheels arrive.
  • Led bar - I need to uninstall it from the 2006 Colorado I need to sell and transfer it over to the Silvy.
  • Kenwood vhf - ordered.
  • Bedliner - ordered.
  • Tint - as soon as I get all the bolt-ons on; otherwise it'll look like an MX Marshall's vehicle.
  • Shocks - dunno, I haven't made my mind yet on what to get.

So I'm playing the waiting game; the dealership delivered the truck on Sept 15th, I got home and starting swiping my credit card haha.

  • 3 weeks later...

Spindles are on! I only installed the spindles, I have yet to decide if I wanna use the 1" spacer to give it a little bit of extra height before getting her to the alignment shop. I think I won't wait for the wheels to arrive (eta Nov 15) to install the tires, we'll see

Lookin good so far!

Did you put the 2500 badges on?

Thanks! It's complicated, work truck in Mexico is sold as "2500", even though it's really a 1500; they also offer the real 2500 as "2500 HD".

First impressions, it looks like I won't need to remove any of the little mud flaps

Did the spindles give you a lift or make it level?

Using my eyeometer, I'd say it was a level + 0.5"
