Steering Shaft

Need some help. I can move the steering shaft about 1/4" to 3/8". It will actually move up and down in the sleeve to the firewall. Is this normal? Could this contribute to steering wheel vibration?

Can someone check on their truck if this thing moves?

The tires have been road forced balanced and the vibration in the steering wheel is absolutely annoying.

  Ha!! So GM Customer service, ive already been talking with someone on your email team and there is nothing they can do. So pretty consistent with everyone else’s experience- you can do NOTHING.. worthless emails. Sure glad i have 4 GM cars on our family cuz now its clear you dont care.. Sad and pathetic.
