From my experience you are seriously S.O.L  I have seen this disscussion come up quite a few times and have brought it up myself a couple.  My truck - a 1997 K1500 with the 350 Vortec - has done the same from shortly after purchase.  I have tried spark plugs, fuel filter, and have tried to find any vacum leaks, all with no change.  I am hoping its just the nature of the beast and not a symptom of some problem starting.  Some have suggested that this is the start of the infamous intake leak but so far I can see no evidence of this but I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Let us know if you come up with any solutions, i'm willing to give anything a try.  Love my truck but sometimes this problem drives me crazy.
