Installing Safe

Hey all,

Not sure if I am posting this in the right place, but I have a question about bolting a small safe to the floor. Would the slightly raised floor space in between the driver and passenger seats work (the front center seat foot area)? I don't know what is under the floor there. I'm illiterate when it comes to this stuff.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Transmission and its wiring harness are under that area of the floor. There are also fuel lines that chase up near that area. Proceed with caution.

Thanks Dan. I bolted it under the backseat in my 2010 Sierra, but was hoping to have it in the front for easier access. I will look into other options or have someone who has a clue what they're doing help me with it.

Not sure the size what size you are looking for, but I mounted a Hornady box with locking arm. I bolted it in under the back passengers seat, using the back seat bolt. It swings out on that pivot, so I can access it from the front seat. Then swing it back under.

It's not as safe as bolting through, but more time consuming for someone to take, than cutting a cable. There was a noise issue from vibration, but it was packaged with a foam pad. I slipped it under and solved the issue

Do you guys with the higher trim models with the full center console not have a stock lockable compartment like under the center seat in the front of the lower trim models. I love this on my LT.
