Tires with 3.08 gears?

So I ended up with 275 70 18 toyo at2's and so far I'm pretty happy with them. I can feel the difference but it's no where near as bad as some people make you think.

yup I have a 2014 LTZ Z71 double cab, offset pro comp wheels and 275/70/18, 3.08 gears. only thing I noticed is it doesnt go into v4 as often and lost a little gas milage. still have no trouble smokin them up

I just got a 5.3 15' CC 2wd 3.08. Orig tires were 255/70/17 I put on 33" terragrap g2's @ 285/70/17 (32.7"). 2.5 front Level and hypertech speedo recalibration.

 

driving from orange county, ca to vegas and going up steep hills like cajole pass didn't seem a problem. Definitely sluggish but I'm cruising a steady 70-75 uphill and has room to accelerate. Tranny temp usually around 187, but at extended hills (20+ miles with 9-10mpg) highest I saw climb to 199.

 

I'm getting around 16 mpg city and 19-20ish highway. V4 kicks in surprisingly more than I'd think .

 

I have no problems with performance cuz I drive pretty tame. But will my engine or tranny explode once I roll over to 50,000 miles or something? I'm just a textbook overthinker
