Nice! Yea ive got a 15 silverado, but my buddy just picked up a new colorado saturday. He knows ive got my silvy one trimmed down, and said he wanted me to help pull his cause he was scraping on parking bumpers. Lol. I told him he shouldve got a REAL truck haha!

How hard was it to do? I know mine was like 20 10mm bolts

This was 13 T15 screws. It took about an hour and a half to take it off the right way.

Check out this youtube video of a guy that took it off properly.

Wow. Thats way more involved than my silverado. I assume there is no way to unbolt the air dam without removing the whole bumper cover, eh?

We did it without removing the whole bumper. Remove the plastic waffle in front of each wheel attached to the bumper, then take the 2 10mm bolts that hold the center of the bumper to the frame off. Once this is done, u can push the plastic out far enough without breaking anything to get the 13 T15 screws out.

i figured I would just pop it off when I pull the bumper cover to install my RC off road light bar in the grill. kill two jobs at the same time.

but yes, it is a bit of a pain.

I appreciate the help guys. We got it done last nite. Took me about 30 mins or so. There were mainly 2 terrible t15s that you had to contort your hand to get to with a stubby nut driver. But the results are worth it. Looks way better imo, and my buddy is very happy

I'd like to thank everyone who contributed to this thread. I removed the front air dam on my new Colorado, only took me about 30-45 minutes. I did not remove the bumper.

Awesome! I really want to do this to my truck soon. Anyone see a significant impact to normal operation? Owners manual warns about "Operating the vehicle for extended periods without the front fascia lower air dam installed can cause improper air flow to the engine."

Anyone have some more info on removing the dam without taking the entire bumper off? (pictures/video during removal?)
