hypertech power programmer part #help

i hate the fact gm made two different model trucks in 1999. they made the old style and as they phased out the old style the started the newer body style the second half of the year. i have a newer body style 1999 with the 5.3 l and its a pain everytime i go to a part store. do i say i have a 2000, or 1999? most of the time 2000 seems to be what i need, but i am confused when it comes to the power prgrammer from hypertech. i cant tell if i need for 1999pn 390302 or 2000pn 30005. any help?

When you go to a parts store, tell them it's for a '99 Silverado, the new bodystyle, not the C/K 1500 body style.  I had that problem for a little while too.  

 

I think the Hypertech website lists the part numbers for the model you have.  Just make sure you get the one for the 5.3 engine.  :thumb:
