Kverduin's 2015 Onyx Sierra

I haven't had the truck for long, but i figured I'd start a build thread before I got too far behind and forgot dates/lost pictures.

Here goes:

11/30- Picked up my 2015 GMC Sierra double cab SLE 5.3 4x4 from the dealer.

Here's a pic of her the day I made the deal while she was still on the showroom floor (I named the truck Betsy by the way)

12/1- I replaced the cargo lights, reverse lights and license plate lights with white LED's. The license plate lights were the easiest bulbs to replace. The reverse lights were pretty easy since it's 2 screws and a clip that holds the taillights in (although the pass. side taillight clip wasn't cooperating at first). The cargo light/3rd brake light housing was kind of a pain. Its only 2 screws and a gasket holding it in, but since it was so fresh, the gasket was being a bitch.

With the interior lights coming with white LED's from the factory, and the bed light option coming with LED's i felt that swapping the rest of the rear halogen bulbs to match looks good.

12/4- A cop I'm friends with owns a vinyl shop in the town i work for and I had him tint the front windows and add and eyebrow on the front windshield to match the rear tints. (Front tints are illegal in NJ, but i work very closely with cops so I shouldn't get my balls busted). He did a great job, and finished just before i headed home from work!

12/5- I installed a tailgate LED bar. I did not wire it to turn on with the running lights, but it'll go on with the brake lights, turn signals and reverse lights. For the time being, i have it plugged into the 4 pin trailer connection. I will hard-wire it once it gets nice out again. The install was not bad at all and I'd be glad to help anyone who is curious how to do it.

Although I'd like to do a lightbar behind the grill at some point, I felt I was pretty close to being done with lighting upgrades..... almost.

12/7- interior footwell LED's that are tied in with the dome light. I saw a few tutorials how to do it and they all said to tap into some tiny ass wire on some tiny ass clip in a tiny ass space... needless to say my hands were too big for that. What I did was pop the deivers side A pillar off (make sure to unplug the one clip on the inside middle of it. Once that's off, the bundle of wires in front of you makes it easy fo find the grey wire and tap it no problem. Need help? Ask away!

12/10- after installing so many new lights, the headlights/fogs looked even more like shit than when they came from the factory lol. I dont mind the desight or housing or anything, I got a guy that lives close and sells me HID kits for a long time so he. I dont rememeber the brand, but I can tell you that both the headlights and fog lights are 6000k. The headlights were plug and play, just had to snips a little. The fog lights kind of sucked since i had to use a relay.
