Just wondering what are some good performance mods, that will actually make a difference and no more than $400. Thanks, for any ideas

It depends on if you want more torque or hp really. I can't think of anything for more torque off the top of my head. But for hp, the exhaust you have already accomplished, a K&N might make a difference for you- it didn't on my bronco or my dads Z71, and I haven't gotten it on my jimmy yet, but my bros. TBI s10 seemed a little more zippy. A throttle body spacer will add a few hp, I believe they are around $100 but am not sure. The biggy that will add a lot of hp is if you put vortec heads on your engine, get some from a junkyard and clean them up, if you want to go cheap, that will add hp, but also take a way torque, making it more for street than offroad...
