Hypertech programmer and E85

I've got the Hypertech Max Energy Power programmer (#32501) and I did the 89 octane tuning. I'm wondering what the side effects would be if I filled the tank with E85 instead of 89 and left the tuning. I would like to start running E85.

I thought the manual said something about E85 but now I can't find it.

Also a second question... feels like my transmission firmness reprogram has gone soft. I'm thinking it needs to be re-tuned. Is that normal? I assume the computer has some learning software that changes settings according to my driving style.

I ran E-85, with hypertec, without the engine tune. When I was on a trip I ran 93 gas leaving the stock tune. I ran the transmission @ 50 percent TM and pump the RPMs a bit. It ran very good and I turned off the V4. E85 is plentiful around me and the 25HP bump was a plus.

Filled up with 23 gals of E85, truck seems to like it. No problems yet. This is the first time I've run E85 in anything.

I tried re-tuning without resetting to stock, didn't seem to make any difference on transmission firmness.

I read some where that the E85 has a higher octane rating then 93. Would switching to the Hypertech high octane tune be a bad idea?
