Diablo I-1000 vs Others

I'm on the fence about purchasing a Diablo tuner. My cousin had one in his Chaefer SRT8 and it made a huge difference, but i want to make sure I like it in a truck. Anyone have or used this tuner? I really am worried about it throwing codes or causing serious issues with the truck. Any advice?
