Sqealing noise

OK peoples, I need a little help. 2005 Silverado base, v6, noticed a loose belt type noise at highway speed yesterday, disappears at idle. Fifteen mph and above it returns. Doesn't seem to be engine speed related. Ideas?

Replaced brakes today and greased front end, no noticeable issues with hubs.

this noise begins and is constant, when it stops, it's immediate, like hitting a switch.

any help is appreciated

Check the idler/tensioner pulleys.

Take the belt off spin the pulleys I had to replace my idler was only $20

The noise went away for a day, then came back. Will try spinning pulleys this weekend. My confusion comes with the fact that the sound does not change with engine speed, nor vehicle speed.
