305/65r18's on a 2" level and 1.5" body

The offset of the stock 18" wheel will make that size tire rub on the sway bar. I have 305-60/18 an they are nearly touching the sway bar a steering lock. A tire that is over an inch taller would rub unless the inside edge of the wheel is moved outboard.

Spur, what do you think of those ST Maxx tires now that you have had them awhile (noise, fuel mileage, wear)? They make a 285/65r18 that seems to be larger than most mfg in the same size. I was gonna try to go 305/65r18 in KO2s (with a 2.5 level), but the below post has me concerned now...I didn't think a BFG would rub because they tend to run narrow.

BTW, You are famous across the 'net for putting 305/60r18 on a stock height truck.

I too have 305/65r18 KO2's on 18x9 wheels. +18 offset. The tires rub the UCA at full lock going forward and reverse. What offset are your wheels? I was thinking of switching to a -12 offset wheel.

The tires rub the Upper Control Arm, or the swaybar? Can you post some pics of your truck (would love to see the 305s on it)? Also, some pics of where it is rubbing?

My guess is that you are rubbing the swaybar with the sidewall of the tire. If so, my idea of running KO2s in that size is out the window as your +18 offset pushes the rim away from the swaybar further than my stockers.

Yes I think it the tire was rubbing the sway bar and UCA. That was when I had XD Addict 18x9 +18 wheels. I changed to Level 8 Mk6 18x9 0 offset so it doesn't rub any more. Tires are BFG K02 305/65-18 with a 4" Fabtech lift/level.

That's some great information and makes sense that you got a little more negative offset, pushing the rim away from the hub, and the rub went away. I'm guessing that the BFG KO2s are running a little larger and truer to size than the original KOs. That 12" width on stockers won't let me run 305/65R18 in KO2s, so I guess I will cross that one off my list.

BTW: Your lift and tire size gives a great stance with a beefy looking tire.

I'm running that size in the bf goodrich ko2 with that set no rubbing what so ever on stock wheels

Any picture of how far the wheel sticks out. Looking to do this exact set up on my truck but don't want my wheels to stick out to far

295/70/18 Nitto Ridge Grappler on stock Z71 18s.

2.5 inch RC level and .25 Spacers on all 4 wheels.

I cut about 1 inch from carpet liner and it rubs slightly on sway bar.

I would say you are probably going to rub with the 2 inch spacer and 3 inch level. I have upgraded to falcon shocks for 2.5 inches of level with the body lift and just barely do not rub. I started to rub with the 2 inch level once things settled a bit.
