Remote Start

I just purchased a 07 Sierra Crew Cab 4x4 Z71 SLE that has factory remote start. I have used it a couple time now but didnt really notice this issue til today. I noticed when i got into the truck that the HVAC was on but it was very low even though I had the setting turned up. I wasnt sure if it possibly turns down once the truck has been unlocked or if it is like this all the time. Past vehicles I have owned the HVAC would function however you left it set. Is this normal?

You sure it's the manual system? When I remote start mine and it's cold outside, the blower motor starts out on low and slowly increases as the heat starts to build up in the system.

I figured out the problem. Some how I must have hit the A/C on accident.

EDIT: Well I thought the A/C thing solved the problem. The fan is now running at whatever setting I left it but not how I want the air directed. It appeared to be only on defrost even tho I left it set on defrost and feet. After I got to my destination I tried it again and it worked fine. I tried changing the settings to vents and feet and then remote started. This time I it did feet and defrost which was a previous setting. Anyone have any ideas as to what might be going on. Its very possible that I have no idea how to set it correctly as this is a used vehicle with no manual and is all new to me

I have an 07 silverado with factory remote start, when you start the truck it goes into auto mode. The truck decides where to send what air depending on cabin and outside temperatures. When you turn the key on it goes back to whatever setting you had it at last. When it's in remote start it assumes you're not in the truck and doesn't remember your comfort settings. It goes for the quickest way to heat up the can and defrost the windshield, and cool down the cab in the summer. The closer it is to the comfort temperatures the slower it runs the fan
