Can a bi-directional scan tool delete AFM / DOD?

I swear ... Google is both a blessing, and an absolute curse. Searched for hours, and cannot find a simple answer to this simple question ... :banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thinking about buying the AutoEnginuity setup, and was HOPING I could deactivate the AFM in my Silverado, without having to spend even more money on a tune. Or, does that require that J25xx flash programmer and money paid to GM's website?

Damn computers - nothing is easy ... or CHEAP ... anymore!

Anyone know?

Best way is to do it with a sct handheld and you can not only turn off the afm etc but you can improve the performance which in turn will give you better fuel economy under normal driving conditions, if interested we can hook you up with a special deal on a sct and you get free shipping and free custom tune sir
