Keys for 2014-2015 silverado upgrade

This has probably been covered but I'm wondering if anyone has tried a Cadillac key in their silverado, would be nice to have the fob with the key in it rater than the keys we have dangling off the key. Thanks a

You need a physical key with built in transponder to start your truck. They key in the Cadillac fob is solely for unlocking the door, glovebox, or any other keyed piece. It is NOT a transponder key like your Silverado key. The remote/fob itself is the "transponder" for the keyless start (push button). Will not work.
