110V outlet buzzing noise

I took my 2014 Silverado LT to the dealership about a year ago when I started to notice a buzzing noise coming from the driver side dash. They acknowledged the noise, kept the truck for a couple days, but couldn't figure out what was causing the noise. Just recently, I figured out that the noise only existed when I have something plugged into the 110V outlet. I took it to a different dealership, told them about the problem, and they just called me saying that the noise is "normal". It's from the DC-AC inverter. Their recommendation is to not plug anything in unless it's in use. Well, I have a dash-cam that stays plugged in so that's not an option! The noise really isn't that loud; it's just one of those things that you always notice and seems to be amplified now that you know it's there.

Also, I certainly don't think it's "normal" so I just called a third dealership and described the problem. They don't think the noise is normal and asked me to bring the truck by for a look. I don't want to waste anymore time on this so was wondering if anyone else out there has also noticed this noise. My apologies ahead of time if this post causes you to start noticing the noise and get fixated on it.

I have something plugged in mine and I hear a noise when I first plug something in but I don't recall a buzzing continuously?

Mine also has that noise you're referring to when first plugging something in...it's like a "ding" sound, maybe a click too. But the buzzing sound definitely is continuous afterwards. You can hear with much more clearly with the engine off. Ignition in the On position...don't remember if the outlet is powered in the Acc position.

I checked mine. I can hear a faint buzz with the truck off but it's hardly there. I'm not going to worry about it.

I am sure it has something to do with the DC/AC Inverter. I have a noise that sounds like a CD player drive that is going bad whenever I use my dash USB ports to charge my iphone. I suspect it is the DC-DC converter. The dealer told me that was the sound of the data being read. Total BS excuse but bottomline is they are not gonna fix it.
