So I bought a one owner 2015 gmc yukon denali and right away noticed a terrible noise on the drivers side when you go over any sort of bump or hill. It is much worse when you sit in the middle bench seat. After 6 months of my dealership trying to figure it out ( replacing all shocks and much more) I decided I was done and traded it in on a 2016 yukon denali xl. I have now owned the car for 3 weeks. The first couple days I didn't hear anything. So excited! But then I pullout to the side of the road and boom I head it! It was minor so I ignored it. But not it is all the time just like with my 2015. My dealer acts like I am crazy. The white one got so bad it sounded like you were driving a Styrofoam cooler! Any ideas??? I am trying to decide if I just get rid of it but I love everything else about it!

The only thing I can tell you is to get ride of it and by something else that GM/GMC does NOT make. You will keep having problems with them and they WILL NOT fix anything for you. Dump IT as soon as you can. Good Luck

I have always found new vehicles to take quite a while to settle in. The suspension has to cycle a bit. Your old vehicle may have had a different issue. I also find new bushings to sometimes squeak. WD40 and other silicones on bushings can help. Sway bar end link bushing are a big culprit on a lot of cars. I have disconnected them and then gone over the same speed bump and the squeak is gone. Good luck

My Suburban is making a similar noise. On first oil change dealer couldn't find anything. Annoyed me enough to ride in rear cargo area while wife drove. Turns out if you push the plastic piece below the rearmost side window, passenger side in my case, it replicates the noise. Sounds just like styrofoam as you said. Only over bumps and not all the time. Have appointment at dealer for this tomorrow.

2016 Suburban, same squeak for years. sounds like it was coming from the dash, like an eletrical componet until one day rode in the 3rd row seat and hear it right next to my ear. I was able to recreate squeak with shutting rear passanger door. Took apart rear passenger side plastics in the trunk. Narrowed it down to one backed out bolt behind the plastic.  tightended and never heard it again.
