Camping season - new gear for CC standard box?

I travel out to Colorado every summer for off-road trail riding. This is the first time owning a truck and I would love to invest in a nice bed tent and air mattress set-up to put the GF and I in for a couple nights (giggity). I have a 2015 Silverado crew cab short bed (5'8" bed). Yeah, I could pitch a tent on the ground with an air mattress.. but the tent in the bed just looks super comfy and convenient (for just a little more money). Plus, I like the idea of being elevated off the ground away from varmints and what not.

 

Does anybody have any experience with these bed tents/air mattresses? Airbedz makes the mattress for about $120, and there are a few tent manufacturers that have tents ranging from $170 up to $600.
