Painting/Powder Coating chrome bumpers (parking sensors)

I have never been fan of chrome so I would like to either paint or powder coat my bumpers in gloss black. My question is, do you paint over the sensors? My truck has them front and rear.

When you buy a new sensor they are ready to paint black, so I would think you could paint them just fine.

Yep replacement sensors and bezels are paint to match, whether it is a chrome or body colored bumper. Paint thickness can't exceed 6 mils on the sensors. I'd be super, super careful if you are attempting to repaint them. You may be better off buying new ones if a shop can't refinish them correct.

Hmmm, I may even opt out to just not have them painted and leave them the way they are. I already noticed when there is ice on them they go bezerk.
