99 Suburban sometimes won't start.

Replaced the fuel pump this weekend and it started fine. New relay and fuse replaced maybe a month or two ago (went the cheap fix route before shelling out for a new pump). We had the security system fixed by the dealer about 7 years ago. I'm wondering if it could be the security system acting up again, this is how it behaved when it started failing. Monday my husband started it and drove it to work just fine, but when he went to leave it wouldn't start and the pump wouldn't prime. He left it sit for about 45 minutes I think he said and it started but then wouldn't start again when I got home that night. It wouldn't start this morning, but I just went out and it started fine for me. I was trying to see if when the pump didn't prime that the relay still clicked so I can provide some more information for y'all.

Someone suggested to my husband that it could be the BCM, but wouldn't that cause problems while driving, like sputtering and stalling? And not just random starting issues.
