Towing with 2500HD/6.0L

I have a 2017 6.0L Silverado 2500 w/4.10 gears, also a 7.5” lift on 35x12.50 20’s. How much do you guys think it lowers my towing capacity? I’m buying a 2018 coachmen freedom express 36ft travel trailer and I think the weight is like 8500. Should I be concerned

Don't sweat it. You're truck should handle the Coachmen fine, even with the lift/tires.

 

Our 34' TT is about 8500 or so loaded - truck hardly breaks a sweat.

 

My buddy has a 2018 Freedom Express 320BHDS that he pulls with an Egoboost F150. Not sure I'd go that route, but yours should be well matched.

You should regear the pig... 4.88 would do it well and make 6th useable again.

If you haven't bought one yet - get the Equalizer 4-point sway/weight distributing hitch. Worth every dollar.

Useable? The truck hardly shifts out of 6th and I live in West Virginia. Nothing flat about this state.

Yup... useable.  The truck would pull harder than it ever did before the lift and 35s...

Pulled my heavy Jeep and trailer very well about 6 hrs away to go offroading. Extremely pleased overall.

2018 GMC 2500HD Denali, 6.0. I pulled this 11,000lb Boat & trailer almost 700 miles. Now back and forth( about 4 miles) to the ramp from home. Pulls like a dream!
