Anti theft battery switch

In my area a lot of trucks, with lifts and large tires are being stole. I was looking into getting a switch to disconnect the battery. Anyone recommend any in particular? And can I wire it between the battery and the starter so my alarm will still work? Any info is appreciated

If they want your truck, they're gonna get it one way or another. Your best bet is having a lojack device installed (don't rely on OnStar as it is very easy to disable) Also you may end up doing damage to the BCM and ECM with frequent power disconnects.

I hope someone with more technical knowledge than myself reads this. Im looking to install the painless wiring remote disconnect with mechanical locking solenoid which has a bypass to feed power to the ECM and alarm and other things tht need power but isolates power from the starter. I cant find a wiring diagram that shows me what the buss bar feeds on top of the battery. Its a 2015 flex fuel with one battery. The positive terminal goes to the buss bar and there are four connections on there. Im not sure what needs the constant power. If nyone has any nfo please help. Thanks

Just curios. How can someone start your truck without the key with the chip?

It's not like back in the 70's when you just cross two wires and "hot-wire" the starter with a screwdriver, or is it?

Mine doesnt have a chip in the key, but in the area I live alot of newer trucks keep getting stolen, and as much as I dont want to replace the window, it would be better than the whole truck for sure.

i thought that all new trucks come with the PASS-key.

Anyway, good luck finding a solution. Can't be much of help.

I don't know if a switch on the cable to the starter would work, since all the new trucks are so sensitive, when you mess with the electric.

But that would be the only idea I have. To install a switch on the cable to the starter.
