New member here first post. I have a 2005 Silverado crew cab. I found the attached picture in another thread on here and am trying to figure out what the two hoses that run across are for and how to replace them (my dogs or a really big rat chewed thru them both. I'm pretty sure the top one is for the vent valve solenoid canister and can be repaired with 5/8 hose but I don't know what the bottom hose does or how to fix it.

Top line has already been replaced with the 5/8" heater hose (it was originally the same material as the bottom line).

The bottom line is either the line to the purge solenoid or the vent line from the fuel tank (either one, there should be little to no pressure on it).You should be able to cut a length out of the bottom line, and using a couple of hose clamps and a length of heater hose, replace the piece you cut out with the heater hose (looks like it may be 5/8" also).

Thanks for the advice bought a new solenoid at oreilys and replaced the lines with radiator hose like suggested. Seems to be working great and all my error codes went away plus no more clicking noise. The lower hose I ended up using 3/8 id and fits good and snug.
