Hey I'm getting right to it here. I bought this 06 GMC Sierra and I have questions about it. I'll start with it was a write off, has a set of Denali step bars on it, also has the 6.0 Vortec Max, fully loaded, leather, sunroof. No badging on the truck, is there anyway to find out if it is a Denali? and what transfer case it has. The metal tag is missing off of it. I have checked the rpo codes on it came up with NP8.

If it had 4 wheel disc, then Denali can be assumed. Also front axle shafts, with no 4wd controls, and tan interior with this dark colored wood. These would be Denali cues

You have the "Max Trailering Package" then, it gives you the 6.0 liter engine, 4L70-E super-duty trans., autotrac transfer case, 9.5" rear axle w/4.10 gears (instead of the standard 8.625" w/either 3.42 or 3.73's) and the manually adjustable suspension (RPO code ZX3, you should have a button to right of the HVAC controls)

There should be an emblem on the front doors that's reads "VortecMAX" just like the ones on mine and Chris's sig pics, the previous owner must have removed them.

That makes sense. Thanks a lot. Now to figure out my next problem. The truck runs mint at idle, but intermittently as I take off it bucks like its about to stall . Tranny will shift really hard some times and then at 55mph it'll buck again. As if you where hitting speed bumps. Best description I can think of right now.
