opinion on this 2wd sierra?

The early year GMT900 trucks with the 5.3 scare me, especially with the higher mileage. AFM/oil consumption and all that nonsense. Notice my two trucks from that era do not have a 5.3.

The '04 is built like a tank, and that 5.3 motor is a beast. That truck will easily do 200,000 miles. Plus, a 4x4 is going to hold its value better.

Between those choices, I'd go with the '04.

I'd buy the 2004 myself, but I'm biased. Haha!

I like my 04

is 14,900 a high price tag for a truck like that with 106k

It is in my opinion. I've seen a few around here with 80-100k for about $20k, but they were also 2-3 years newer.

I like the other 2004 better than that one. It's not lifted, lower mileage, higher end interior, and it's a crew cab.

04 crew cab is fairly rare

I still like the 04 Sierra better, but that's just me.

i guess because of space? i mean the ext cab vs crew doesn't bother me too much and i figure this ones got 6000 less miles

Eh not so much. I'm more of an options kind of guy. I like the higher end trim levels with more options which is what the crew cab has. It will be your truck though so go with whatever it is that you like.

6K miles means nothing, and I mean Notta damn thing on those trucks. My 01 has nearly 309,000 miles on it.

1 transmission fluid change, never had a valve cover removed.
