Did I fry the electrical system?

Recommended Posts

I am working on a 2004 sierra, and switched 2 relays in the fuse block under the hood. The relays were the a/c compressor with the horn relay, right below it. Both the same relays. NOW, the whole electrical system flickers. The system seems to be constantly going thru a reset process. No, it will not run. I plugged in another ecm and bcm, with no change at all.

No you didn't mess anything up by switch relays. Check battery cables, and test battery. I'm guessing your work disturbed a cable possibly.

After all, it was the battery. I freaked out, spent 60 bucks on the pcm and bcm modules, then CARKHZ prompted me to put my boat battery in the truck...what a relief!

Thanks for the advice!!!!!!

I would have never thought switching a relay would have caused this.
