AWD, is it reliable?

I have always owned a GM vehicle, shoot I bleed GM blue. I just purchased a used 2012 GMC Denali AWD. How reliable is this AWD system? Anything I should be aware of? special maintenance needs,things to look out for? Never owned anything AWD so I am just a bit reserved about the unknown. Thanks in advance for your valuable advice!!

As long as you follow maintenance requirements then it is pretty reliable

Never have heard many horror stories or issues until major power upgrades have been added. My buddy has a Yukon Denali with around a 100k and no issues whatsoever.

I bought my '09 Denali with 70k miles on it. Had the dealer put it up on a rack before I bought it, noticed the front pinion seal was leaking. Nothing major, just wetness on the yoke. I had them replace it before I signed the paperwork.
