Well, people throw a lot of money away on stuff that many of us would call nonsense and has no real benefit but make a social statement and feel good. Brand of motor oil barely moves the meter on what would be construed as wasteful spending or "throwing money away". I can come up with stacks of stuff that is much more wasteful of money that folks do to their pickups on these forums that I just shake my head and know I would never waste money on that stuff.

I have to wonder what would happen to relationships these days if some folks would give their spouse and children the amount of attention they seem to give their simple mechanical device on 4 wheels.
