Loud transmission clunking after acceleration

My 16 5.3 4000 miles makes the same exact noise. Over 30mph accelerate so the tranny drops down a gear then abruptly take your foot off gas about 1 to 2 secondsizes later I hear a loud clunk under the truck near the transmission. It does it every time and I can hear it over the radio. Have not taken it to dealer yet.

I bet the dealer will say "Normal" if you took it to them for that.

I am also noticing a similar clunk in the 30 to 60 mph range when coasting uphill then when i get back into the gas it makes the same clunk. Anyone else get the clunk on acceleration too?

So, if my pickup's transmission doesn't "clunk," does that mean my GM transmission isn't normal??
