U got pleather? I got your answer

My 2015 SLE lost it's new car smell about 4 months after I got it. I've tried different things to get it back, but pleather seats just don't have that true leather smell.

 

I tried this stuff called Gliptone Leather Conditioner. Costs about $7 a bottle. I just wiped down all the pleather surfaces in my truck and let me tell you, it smells fantastic! If you close your eyes you would swear you were sitting in pure rich leather.

 

It's been 3 weeks since I used it and it still smells great.

 

Any other ideas for getting that new car smell back? I know some of them are toxic. I don't care.

My SLE has cloth seats. Has 13000KM and purchased April 28 2015. It still has that new car smell. Granted I do not eat in it, and keep it super clean.

 

There is no such thing as real leather seats (a tanned hide) in any car except maybe top of the line super cars. 99% of couches etc are the same, a real leather couch would cost between $10-20,000.

 

They all use 'bonded leather' which is poly-urthaned and sprayed leather. It is about as real as I am Micheal Jordon. The upshot is it is more durable and real leather does not last the test of time as seats. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonded_leather

Use Zaino leather conditioner Z10 better product and smells like leather.I have been using it for years.

So why should i used leather conditioner instead of the vynal stuff i use on my boat. My seats are not real leather
