Auxiliary input?

Is there anyway to use the 8" screen as an auxiliary input to view my iPhone display on? What I'd like to be able to do is use Waze or google maps and play music and movies on the in dash stereo unit.

why not bluetooth but there is an aux stereo jack 2 channel input in the console by the sd card and usb ports. 2016+ has no sd card i think.

You are talking about screen mirroring on the 8" screen outside of Apple Play approved applications?

 

As far as I know this is not yet possible.

 

edit: I also really wish Google Maps was on Apple Play and not just for the Android version as it is much better than Apple Maps!
