2001 Tahoe - What should I do to make it as reliable as reasonably pos

I got this Tahoe over the summer and it now has about 128,000 miles. 2WD 5.3 liter. I'm in the process of putting in a fuel pump which thankfully died on a quiet sidestreet. It got me thinking how bad it would be to break down, especially when i'm towing a car long distances (which I do a few times a year).

I've already done some suspension work, brakes, fluids, now a Delphi fuel pump. What else should I proactively change if I want this thing to be as reliable as I can reasonably get it? Throw an alternator on there? Starter? Water pump? Crank position sensor? Ignition parts?

In a perfect world I would go buy a new truck but I also don't have $60,000 to spend on one.

Thanks!

Coolant change and check all hoses.

Transmission service.

Differential fluid change.

Plugs and wires.

Upstream o2 sensors.

Belt and tensioner

I wouldn't try to proactively change the alternator or starter as they commonly go for 200k. The water pumps last pretty good also.

knock sensors and wiring, intake gasket, u joints, fuel tank straps(trust me on that one), brake lines

My '01 Burb, while it became a money pit the last few years I owned it, only once stranded me on the side of the road. That was when the fuel pump died, about 1000 feet from my home. And I did a lot of cross-country towing with heavy trailers.

I spent tons of money on repairs, but nothing that left me stranded - wheel hubs/bearings, A/C compressor/clutch/tensioner, window regulators, exhaust manifold gaskets, and brakes were the big items.

Keep a spare serpentine belt in the truck with the tensioner socket/tool.
