Service 4wd codes

While out hunting this year my 2008 chevy 2500hd decided it did not want to go into 4wd after we had been using it a good part of the day. We read the codes and they came up as:

 

c0306-Range actuator Control Circuit Short to ground short to battery or open

c0396-range accuator position sensor circuit short to battery open circuit

c0569-System configuration Calibration not learned

c0387-unable to complete shift protection timeout circuit/component time out

 

About the only thing we have tried is replacing the fuse and cleaning the grounds under the driver side door. Ideas on what to check next?

Check the wiring harness going to the transfer case. Maybe it got damaged or something has finally rubbed through.

Just contacted my mechanic that is "lightly" looking at it and he says that is looking good. Thanks for the reply though!!

Sounds like the transfer case shift motor may be bad.
