2015 Denali grille to 2016 Grille

I'm contemplating the replacement of my 2015 Sierra Denali grille for the 2016 since I'm going to be swaping out the headlights to the OEM LEDs. I'm still on the fence if I should actually replace the grille or not. I'm not a part of the crowd that attempts to represent something that it's actually not, but I really like the LED lights and the boost in output over what I have. So since the lights will be replaced, I don't know how it would look with a 2015 grille or if it would actually look better with the '16.

 

So if I actually decide to do it, does anyone know with any certainty if the 2016 grille will fit correctly and mate-up to the plastic painted lower section. I've analyzed it and I'm like 80% sure it will work. In addition to the grille, I'll need to replace the sight shield that wraps around the hood latch and a part that mates up directly behind the grille.

 

If anybody has done this, I'd like to hear from you.

I'd also like input as to what you guys think I should do. Grille or no grille?

I upgraded my headlights to the 16 led's and i personally think it looks good on that front end and not out of place. You can see a picture in my signature. I'm not sure the front grill swap would be as simple as that? I think you would have to change more parts out to make it all work like the whole front bumper and fascia above it, but i've honestly never looked into it that deep.

I think I answered my own question.

Looks like if I want to install the 2016 grille, the whole front fascia will need to be replaced, which I have zero interest in doing. Besides, I think the 2015 grille has a bold look opposed to the '16 being more dainty.

I have been in contact with Anthony Brush at MVI to see if he can look at the headlight wiring schematic to figure out the DRL cut off / turn signal issue.

No it doesn't. That LED blinker is so bright though theres no way it couldn't be seen. But keep us posted on what the guy at MVI comes up with
