2012 6.2 4x4. 20" or 18" wheels

Trying to decide to go with 20" stock wheels or 18" stock wheels?

 

20" with 275/65/20

Or

 

275/70/18 on 18" wheels

 

Pros and cons?

I have a set of factory LTZ 20" wheels on my '11 6.2 now but my truck came with the 18". I could feel the weight increase of the 20" over the 18". I went one size over on both sets of tires. As for looks I really like the 20's but the ride and millage of the 18's is better and the rotating mass is lower so you feel more power getting you moving. I'm actually swapping back to my 18's in the morning.

Also even though I use my truck for my construction business I didn't want LT rated tires because on a half ton they ride like crap and are much heavier. You might want to check the size of tires you are looking at to see what load rating they are. I won't go above a standard load. ( most replacement tires are rated heavier then the factory ones anyway)

I just took off a set of Nitto Trail Grapplers and swapped for a set of Cooper AT3's 275/70/18's and my truck rides like a dream so I would vote for 18's.
