Diablo Predator - Hard Numbers

Brand new 2003 Silverado CC/Shortbed Duramax/Allison Victory Red (Since it is the fastest color :D )

I used a G-tech to measure performance. Although not perfect, it has proven to be fairly accurate and for a relative comparison, it does the job.

First I did baseline #s. I didn't spool up the turbo, I just stomped on the gas.

Run

1 9.24s

2 10.18s

3 9.26s

Using the Super High performance tune (100rwhp 220rwtq), 1 hour later

Run

1 8.06s

2 7.70s

3 7.86s

The next day I used the Economy performace tune (60rwhp 160rwtq), it was a little cooler out (70 deg)

0-60 7.6s

For Horsepower you need to enter the weight of the truck. I used 6000lbs, but I am sure it is more.

Base line numbers (rwhp)

Run

1 227

2 223

3 231

Using the Super High performance tune, done immediatley following the baseline tests

Run

1 287

2 280

3 270

4 281

RWHP with the Economy tune done the following day was 261

Overall I am extreemly pleased with the results. I am going to follow this mod up with exhaust, intake, and EGT gauges to make sure everything is running with in the limits. I currently am driving on the Economy tune and I love it. At any speed ican hit the gas and the truck takes off. Pull strong all through all gears to 80mph+ . On top of all this, I ma getting .6 mpg better gas milage and climbing. This is will all the testing I was doing and the spirited driving with the new found power.

James at Running with the Devil is awesome. The nicesest guy, great customer service, shipped me 3 predators (one each for my Duramx and my Corvette and one for my buddies duramax) overnight on Saturday.
