1991 k1500 to c1500 swap

Hi.

Have been plowing the internet in search for interchanging part swap info. Cant find anything first hand so hope anyone who knows this stuff will see this and help me out.

 

Thing is Im working on 1991 k1500 step side. Owner wants to ditch the 4wd and have it lowered.

 

So question is, will front spindle from c1500 fit with the current ball joints and steering components ?

 

And another question, we are instaling big block in it and as the k1500 did not come with big block engines, so searching for headers has not lead to many results unless we were working with suburban. Does anyone know if the suburban headers will work ? Or will headers for c series work with them k trucks ?

 

I know its a long shot but worth asking.

If I recall correctly, the upper & lower control arms are totally different, as is the way it's sprung (torsion vs. coil spring). Probably wouldn't line up correctly, even if the ball joint tapers were the correct size.
