2016 6.0 pinging

Ive got a 2016 2500HD CC 6.0 that is pinging under light throttle.It alsost seems like the truck lugs down to much before a downshift.Ive tried different octans,gas stations and it has been to the dealer which of course they said it was all fine...My thought is a modern engine shouldn't ping.Any help would be great

My 15 that I traded would intermittently ping. Not too often but did. Probably not much help but your not the only one.

I'd say it's because GM has got these trucks ECM tuned too lean for better fuel economy. I'd bet a aftermarket tune would help out. Hope you get your problem figured out.
