Why is the escalade 6.0 have more hp

I noticed that the 6.0 ibn the escalade has more hp than the one in the silverado. Can anybody help me out with this. I was wondering if its something that can be changed to increase my hp.

I wasnt aware of this, but it could be lighter than the silverado. Otherwise it maybe has a different intake or exhaust....

Higher Compression, a different cam design, and different ecm tuning.

A Silverado 6.0 has the same horsepower as an Escalade if you bought a SS!

Remember when the C5 Corvette was introduced back in '97? The LS1 later was available in the F-body cars in '98. Same thing with the Escalade. Top level / flagship vehicles get the top notch goods first.

ALL of the GM vehicles equiped with a 6.0 have more hp and torque than the truck. It doesn't make sense.

Actaully the 6.0 L in the Escalade and Chevy SS are rated at 345hp, all the rest of the Pickups, Subrubans, Yukons, Tahoes and Denalis are rated at 300 hp.

They just built up the higher end trucks a little.
