So this is how the paint turned out. Turns out it's real aluminum. I sure like it.

So this is how the paint turned out. Turns out it's real aluminum. I sure like it.

The important comment is that you like it. Was it an easy task? If a future owner wanted to return it to stock, would new parts be required?

Well yes and no. The actual painting was pretty easy, just have to make sure it's fully covered. But it ended up costing me around $250 for all of the materials but there's enough to paint these parts 10 times. Also I borrowed a paint gun from my sister it's a Sata Minijet 4400. As for returning to stock, I didn't have to sand the parts because they are brushed aluminum and they're only interior parts so they aren't going to be exposed to the elements too much so I'm sure with some careful sanding and paint thinner you would be able to get it back off.

And you would have to build a makeshift paint booth otherwise you will get over spray everywhere. I just hung some plastic from the ceiling of my garage and it worked fine.
