I had to go with Charlie Daniels. I do like some of Garths songs, especially the early ones, like "The Dance". He was much much more country when he put out his first few albums, but now his music just isn't all that great at all.

I'd rather watch stopsigns rust than listen to country music, but to me, Garth is like the Brittney Spears of the country genre. Albeit he's nowhere near as pretty.

I'll have to vote Charlie Daniels. At least he's true to being a country artist.

Well, I was going to go w/ CDB because it's the popular vote, but I see Kyle took garth brooks, so I better vote for garth before he corrects me

CDB. Charlie is a great musician. Garth Brooks isn't, he puts on an energetic show, but he's not even close to being as good a musician as many many other artists who don't get near as much credit.

Garth is the man. While us cowboys still like Charlie but Garth has added much more to the country scene. As for what country music it is more than them ol sad songs of yesteryear. Like Cris says "even us cowboys like a little bit of rock in roll. Thats what Garth has done is make country a little more danceable for the people. As for his songs lately it is true they havent been all that great but the same applies for Charlie also.
