2014 silverado 4 wheel drive problems.....

Just wondering if anyone else has been having issues with there 4x4. Over the last two days my truck decided to come out of 4 wheel drive all by itself....once from 4 low and the other from 4 hi. The first time I was in the truck and a message came up "4 wheel drive off" and the next time I parked it left it running jumped back in and noticed on the 4 wheel drive dial it wasn't lit up where the selector was...but when I turned it to 2 wheel drive it just lit up and was already in gear. I called the dealer for an appointment...should still be covered by drive train warranty only 78000km on the truck. But they informed me I may have to pay a diagnostics fee...... anyhow just thought I'd throw the question out there. Thanks

Not sure how the warranty works in Canada but the diagnosis should be covered under the warranty since it's a covered component

I have this exact same problem, 2015 gmc sierra 1500 4x4 all terrain version. When I put it in 4wd it drives for 100 or so and displays a message 4wd off.

 

Did the dealer ever resolve this? Was it covered under the drive train warrenty.

I wonder if you ever had the transfer case update from the dealer.
