Is this truck considered a Z71?

Im going to look at a 2004 GMC Sierra SWB Stepside a guy has for sale. There are no stickers or decals that specify its 4x4 or a Z71 but the truck is a 4 wheel drive. Is this truck considered Z71 and just missing the stickers on the back rear fenders or did they make non Z71s that are 4x4? Thanks.

Look in the glove box and you will know.

Look for the RPO code "Z71" on the sticker in the glove compartment

Z71 is the RPO ( Regular Production Option ) code for ''Off road suspension''. You can have a 4X4 without Z71, mine does. But you can also get a truck with Z71 suspension with no decals so the best way is like they said before me, open the glove box and check the ''RPO'' sticker.
